Round 1: New Zealand Superstock Championship 2012

Johnny had a mixed weekend , witha crash in race 1 (See above). He however recovered to finish 3rd the New Zealand Superstock Grand Prix and score 16 valuable points. He is a long way behind going in to Round two at Timaru this weekend. But is confident of a good result " I've done a million laps around there and know it like the back of my hand" commenting at Ruapuna , hopefully I can peg some points back on Jake and the rest ahead of me. Johnny Small and Jake Lewis favorites to fight for 600 Superstock title.

John Hepburn rider Johnny Small has to be one of the favorites for 2012 600 Superstock title , but he will have to fend off fellow Canterbury rider Jake Lewis. Both youngsters will be going all out to add to their championship tallys. Small is the current 650 Protwin champion and Lewis current 125GP champion. The title fight begins this weekend in Christchurch.

The 2012  New Zealand Superbike Championship, starting with the New Zealand Grand Prix meeting in Christchurch this weekend, is the strongest for many years. Read more..
